Purpose

View customer access for users.

Overview

Use Access to Customers by User Inquiry to view customer security for individual users.

Using the Access to Customers by User Inquiry

To use the inquiry:

  1. Enter a user ID or name in the User ID or User Name field.

  2. If you want to filter the customers, click the Lookup button to the right of the Lookup By field, select a method for filtering the customers, and enter the filter criteria in the Value field.

Example If you want to view customers in the state of New York (NY), select State in the Lookup By field, and enter NY in the Value field.

  1. Select whether to display customers the user can or cannot access.

  2. Click the Show Data button in the ribbon.

Click this button to close the Access to Customers by User Inquiry window.

Show Data

Click this button to display customer information for the selected criteria.

First

Click this button to display customer access for the first user.

Prev

Click this button to display customer access for the previous user.

Next

Click this button to display customer access for the next user.

Last

Click this button to display customer access for the last user.

Inquiry Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

User ID

Enter a user ID for which you want to view customer access, or click the Lookup button to select a user ID.

User Name

Enter a user name for which you want to view customer access, or click the Lookup button to select a user name.

Lookup By

Click the Lookup button and select a filtering method if you want to filter the customers.

Value

Enter a filter criteria based on the selected filtering method entered in the Lookup By field.

Access/No Access

Select whether to display customers the selected user does or does not have access to.

Access To/No Access To

This grid displays the customers the user does or does not have access to based on whether you selected the Access or No Access radio button.
