Purpose

Define companion names.

Overview

Use Companion Name Maintenance to set up companion names. For more information, see companion product.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Companion Name Maintenance window.
New	Click this button to create a new companion name.
Update	Click this button to update the selected companion name.
Delete	Click this button to delete the selected companion name.
OK	Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
Cancel	Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
First	Click this button to display the first companion name.
Prev	Click this button to display the previous companion name.
Next	Click this button to display the next companion name.
Last	Click this button to display the last companion name.

Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Companion Name ID	Enter a companion name ID, or click the Lookup button to select a companion name ID.
Name	Enter a companion name.

Main Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Description	Enter a description of the companion name.
Date Type	Select whether to use the required date or the order date as the reference point for adding a companion product to an order.
Companion Resolution	This grid displays the order of resolution for the companion name. This determines the sequence combination to search through for a match. You can click the Up or Down buttons to change the order of the following: Companion Name - Companion Class Companion Name - Product Customer - Companion Class Customer - Product Note Every order line is evaluated for the possibility of companion products.
Up	Click this button to move the selected option up in the Companion Resolution grid.
Down	Click this button to move the selected option down in the Companion Resolution grid.
