Order Pad Types

Order pads are tools to quickly enter a customer’s order, especially for customers who:

Order pads can be exported to Excel to make it easy to send them to customers to help with their repetitive re-ordering process.

Dynamically-Built Order Pads

These order pads are built on-the-fly during order entry by selecting one of the following buttons in O/E Line Item Entry.

Recent Purchases

Click this button to display Recent Purchases Order Pad, which lists products that the customer has purchased in a specific number of days (the number of days defaults from the value entered in the Days for Recent Purchases field in Customer Service Control Maintenance, but you can override this number of days in Order Entry)

Promotional Items

Click this button to display Promotional Items, which lists products with price matrix records that have been selected as being on promotion.

Style Order Pad

Click this button to display Product Style Entry, which lists products with the same style code.

Pre-Built Order Pads

These order pads must be set up before you can use them. Products in these order pads can be sequenced to appear in an exact order.

There are three possible methods for defining an order pad method in Order Pad Method Maintenance:

Each method can be active or inactive, can be the default method and has extra fields to be used for customizing the population of the order pad.

After an order pad has been pre-populated in Order Pad Method Maintenance, it can be manually maintained by adding or removing products from it in Order Pad Maintenance. Additionally, if the order pad is not pre-populated, it can be built from scratch.
