Purpose

Copy sales and order forecast history from a product to other products.

Overview

Use Forecast Sales History Copy to copy forecast sales and order history from one product to another similar product. Typically, this is used to copy forecast history to a new product that does not yet have any history, and is similar to an existing product.

Copying Forecast Sales History

To copy forecast sales history:

  1. Enter a product code or name from which to copy forecast sales history in the Product Code or Product Name field.

  2. Enter a range of dates for which to copy forecast sales history in the From Date and To Date fields.

  3. Select other filter data for the forecast sales history you want to copy.

  4. Click the Show Forecast History button in the ribbon. Forecast sales history for the product displays in the Forecast Sales History grid.

  5. On the Copy To Select tab, select filter criteria for the products to which you want to copy forecast sales history.

  6. Click the Show Selected Products button in the ribbon. The Copy To Products tab displays products that meet the criteria you selected in step 5.

  7. Select the check box in the Select Product column for products to which you want to copy forecast sales history, or click the Select All Products button in the ribbon to select the check box for all displayed products.

  8. If you want to copy a percentage of the forecast sales history, enter the percentage in the % of History to Copy column.

  9. Click the Copy button in the ribbon. The Question dialog box appears and asks you if you want to proceed.

  10. Click the Yes button. The forecast sales history is copied.

Click this button to close the Forecast Sales History Copy window.

Show Forecast History

Click this button to display forecast sales history for the selected product from which you are copying forecast sales history.

Show Selected Products

Click this button to display products on the Copy To Products tab based on the criteria selected on the Copy To Select tab.

Copy

Click this button to copy forecast sales history from the product entered in the Product Code/Name field to the products for which the check box is selected in the Select Product column in the Selected Products grid.

Select All Products

Click this button to select the check box in the Selected Product column for all products in the Selected Products grid. This button is only available if the Copy To Products tab is displayed.

Deselect All Products

Click this button to clear the check box in the Selected Product column for all products in the Selected Products grid. This button is only available if the Copy To Products tab is displayed.

Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

Product Code

Enter a product code from which to copy forecast sales history, or click the Lookup button to select a product code.

Product Name

Enter a product name from which to copy forecast sales history, or click the Lookup button to select a product name.

From Date

Enter the first date in a range of dates from which to copy forecast sales history, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date.

To Date

Enter the last date in a range of dates from which to copy forecast sales history, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date.

All Locations

Select this check box to copy forecast sales history for all locations. This check box is selected by default.

Location

Enter a location prefix for which to copy forecast sales history, or click the Lookup button to select a location prefix. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Locations check box.

Name

Enter a location name for which to copy forecast sales history, or click the Lookup button to select a location name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Locations check box.

All Forecast Groups

Select this check box to copy forecast sales history for all forecast groups. This check box is selected by default.

Forecast Group

Enter a forecast group for which to copy forecast sales history, or click the Lookup button to select a forecast group. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Forecast Groups check box.

Description

This field displays the description of the forecast group entered in the Forecast Group field.

Demand

Select whether to copy actual forecast sales history or point-of-sale history.

Delete Line

Click this button to delete a row of forecast sales history data from the Forecast Sales History grid (if you do not want to copy the date for a specific day). This button is only enabled if the Daily radio button is selected.

Monthly/Weekly/Daily

Select a time period for sales history to display in the Forecast Sales History grid.

All/Related

Select whether to display all daily forecast sales history, or only forecast sales history for a specific date. This button is only enabled if you display daily forecast sales history for a specific week of data.

Forecast Sales History

This grid displays forecast sales history based on the selected criteria after you click the Show Forecast History button in the ribbon.

If monthly forecast sales history is displayed, double-click a row (or click the down-arrow button) to display weekly forecast sales history.

If weekly forecast sales history is displayed, double-click a row (or click the down-arrow button) to display daily forecast sales history.

If weekly forecast sales history is displayed in the Forecast Sales History grid, click this button to display monthly forecast sales history.

If daily forecast sales history is displayed in the Forecast Sales History grid, click this button to display weekly forecast sales history.

If monthly forecast sales history is displayed in the Forecast Sales History grid, click this button to display weekly forecast sales history for the selected row.

If weekly forecast sales history is displayed in the Forecast Sales History grid, click this button to display daily forecast sales history for the selected row.

Copy To Select Tab Fields and Buttons

Description

All Products

Select this check box to display all products that meet the selected criteria. This check box is selected by default.

Code (Product)

Enter a product code to which you want to copy forecast sales history, or click the Lookup button to select a product code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Products check box.

Name (Product)

Enter a product name to which you want to copy forecast sales history, or click the Lookup button to select a product name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Products check box.

All Suppliers

Select this check box to display products for all suppliers. This check box is selected by default.

Code (Supplier)

Enter a supplier code for which to display products, or click the Lookup button to select a supplier code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Suppliers check box.

Name (Supplier)

Enter a supplier name for which to display products, or click the Lookup button to select a supplier name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Suppliers check box.

All Shipping Locations

Select this check box to display products for all shipping locations. This check box is selected by default.

Prefix

Enter a location prefix for which to display products, or click the Lookup button to select a location prefix. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Shipping Locations check box.

Name (Shipping Location)

Enter a location name for which to display products, or click the Lookup button to select a location name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Shipping Locations check box.

Copy Options

Select one of the following options for copying forecast sales history:

  • Include Prior Import/Copy/Sales History - Add copied forecast sales history to existing forecast sales history.

  • Remove Prior Import/Copy/Sales History - Replace existing forecast sales history with copied forecast sales history.

All Categories

Select this check box to display products for all product categories. This check box is selected by default.

Code (Category)

Enter a product category code for which to display products, or click the Lookup button to select a product category code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Categories check box.

Only Show Products with No Sales History

Select this check box to only display products that do not have sales history. This check box is selected by default.

All Subcategories

Select this check box to display products for all product subcategories. This check box is selected by default, and is only enabled if you clear the All Categories check box.

Code (Subcategory)

Enter a product subcategory code for which to display products, or click the Lookup button to select a product subcategory code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Subcategories check box.

All Product Lines

Select this check box to display products in all product lines. This check box is selected by default.

Code (Product Line)

Enter a product line code for which to display products, or click the Lookup button to select a product line code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Product Lines check box.

Name (Product Line)

Enter a product line name for which to display products, or click the Lookup button to select a product line name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Product Lines check box.

All Styles

Select this check box to display products of all product styles. This check box is selected by default.

Code (Style)

Enter a product style code for which to display products, or click the Lookup button to select a product style code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Styles check box.

Name (Style)

Enter a product style name for which to display products, or click the Lookup button to select a product style name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Styles check box.

All Colors

Select this check box to display products of all colors. This check box is selected by default.

Code (Color)

Enter a product color code for which to display products, or click the Lookup button to select a product color code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Colors check box.

Name (Color)

Enter a product color name for which to display products, or click the Lookup button to select a product color name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Colors check box.

All Sizes

Select this check box to display products of all sizes. This check box is selected by default.

Code (Size)

Enter a product size code for which to display products, or click the Lookup button to select a product size code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Sizes check box.

Name (Size)

Enter a product size name for which to display products, or click the Lookup button to select a product size name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Sizes check box.

Copy To Products Tab Fields and Buttons

Description

Selected Products

This grid displays products that meet the criteria selected on the Copy To Select tab after you click the Show Selected Products button in the ribbon. Select the check box in the Select Product column for the products to which you want to copy forecast sales history. You can also use the Select All Products or Deselect All Products buttons in the ribbon to select or clear the check box in the Select Product column for all products.

If you want to copy a percentage of the original product's forecast sales history, enter the percentage in the % of History to Copy column.
