Purpose

Define and maintain freight collection terms codes.

Overview

Use Freight Collection Terms Maintenance to create, edit, and delete freight collection terms codes. You can use freight collection terms codes to specify how freight is collected for bills of lading.

Creating Freight Collection Terms

To create a new freight collection terms code:

Click the New button in the ribbon.
Enter a code for the freight collection terms in the Freight Terms Code field.
Enter a description of the freight collection terms in the Description field.
Select the freight collection method for bills of lading.
If you want orders that use the freight collection term to be freight free or not freight free by default, click the Lookup button to the right of the Freight Free field, and select Yes or No.
If you want users to be able to select the freight collection terms code, select the Active check box.
Click the OK button in the ribbon. The freight collection terms code is created.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Freight Collection Terms Maintenance window.
New	Click this button to create a new freight collection terms code.
Update	Click this button to edit the selected freight collection terms code.
Delete	Click this button to delete the selected freight collection terms code. Note You cannot delete freight collection terms that are used for any customers or orders.
OK	Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
Cancel	Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
First	Click this button to display the first freight collection terms code.
Prev	Click this button to display the previous freight collection terms code.
Next	Click this button to display the next freight collection terms code.
Last	Click this button to display the last freight collection terms code.

Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Freight Terms Code	Enter a unique freight collection terms code, or click the Lookup button to select a freight collection terms code.

Main Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Description	Enter a description of the freight collection terms code.
BOL Terms	Select the bill of lading terms associated with the freight collection terms code.
Freight Free	Select one of the following options for the freight collection terms code: Customer Based - Use the customer's default freight settings for orders. No - If the freight collection terms code is selected in Order Entry, clear the Freight Free check box to indicate the customer is charged for freight on the order. Yes - If the freight collection terms code is selected in Order Entry, select the Freight Free check box to indicate the customer is not charged for freight on the order. NOTE This setting can be overridden for specific order classes.
Active	Select this check box if the freight collection terms code is active. If you leave this check box cleared, you cannot select the freight collection terms code in the Lookup window accessed in other windows, such as Order Entry.
