Menu Path: System Administration Security Import/Export User Preferences
Export and import user preferences.
Use Import/Export User Preferences to export user preferences, such as alerts, favorites, or dashboards from one user or all users to an XML file. These user preferences can then be imported back into Apprise (typically in a different environment). When exporting alerts and/or KPIs, alert/KPI security settings are also exported.
Importing user preferences overwrites existing user preferences.
To export user preferences:
If you want to export user preferences for a specific user, clear the All Users check box, and enter a user ID or name.
Enter a folder path and file name for the exported file in the File Name field. The file name must have a .xml file extension.
Select a type of user preference you want to copy in the Available User Preferences grid, and click the right arrow button. Repeat this for all user preferences types you want to copy.
Click the Export button in the ribbon. User preferences are exported to the file specified in step 2.
To import user preferences:
Select the Import radio button.
Click the Lookup button for the File Name field, then navigate to the file you want to import, and double-click it.
Click the Import button in the ribbon. The Information dialog box appears, and asks you if you want to overwrite existing user preferences.
Click the OK button, and then click the Yes button. User preferences are imported.
