Related Incentive Goals

This grid displays incentive goals related to the incentive. You can update the following columns for incentive goals.

  • Include in Payout - Select the check box in this column to use the quantities for an incentive goal to calculate the incentive amount. This column is only enabled if the Volume Based radio button is selected.

Example An incentive is based on two incentive goals. One goal is set up to sell 10 units of product A, and the other goal is set up to sell 10 units of product B. If you want to pay an incentive amount based on units sold of both product A and B, you would select the check box in this column for both goals. However, if you only want to calculate the incentive amount based on the quantity sold of one of the products, you would only select the check box for the related goal.

  • Mix and Match - Select this check box for two or more non-tiered incentive goals of the same type that must be met to be awarded an incentive. If you specify mix and match incentive goals, you can set up different incentives based on the number of mix and match incentive goals that are achieved.

Example If an incentive is based on three incentive goals, which are all mix and match goals, then you can set up different incentive amounts based on whether a sales representative achieved one of the goals, two of the goals, or all three of the goals.

Double-click an incentive goal to display Incentive Goal Maintenance, which allows you to view and edit information for the incentive goal.

Non Manual Tab Fields and Buttons

This tab is only available for fixed and volume-based incentives.

Field or Button

Description

Retroactive Tiers

Select this check box if the incentive amount for the highest tier achieved for a tiered incentive goal is used for all quantities when calculating the incentive. This check box is cleared by default, and only enabled if an incentive has an appropriate related tiered goal.

Example An incentive is related to an incentive goal that pays $10 for the first 9 units sold if 5 units are sold, and $20 for 10 or more units sold (the incentive goal has two tiers). A sales representative sells 12 units. If this check box is selected, the incentive amount is calculated as $12 x 20 = $240. If this check box is cleared, the incentive amount is calculated as ($10 x 9) + ($20 x 3) = $150.

Incentive Amount

Enter a monetary amount for the incentive. This field is only available if the related incentive goals for the incentive are not tiered.

Payout Basis

This field displays the selected payout basis for the incentive. This field is only available if the related incentive goals for the incentive are not tiered.

Placement Payout (Customers)

Select whether the incentive is paid based on amounts of all customers included in the incentive goal or only customers for placements. This radio set is only available if a related incentive goal for the incentive is based on placements.

This grid displays tiers and units, sales, or placements for each tier of the incentive goal. You can enter the incentive amount for each tier. This grid is only available if the related incentive goals for the incentive are tiered or are mix and match goals.
