Journal Line Profitability Entry

To use Journal Line Profitability Entry, click the Profitability Information button in the ribbon in Journal Entry or Journal Entry Edit.

Purpose

View or enter profitability information for a journal entry line.

Use Journal Line Profitability Entry to view or enter customer, product, and/or supplier profitability information for a specific journal entry line.

Example You could allocate the salary of a sales representative to several customers so that it is included in profitability analysis.

Profitability data is only available in the Profitability Scorecards module after the journal entry is posted.

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Journal Line Profitability Entry window.

Field or Button	Description
G/L Account	These fields display the general ledger account number and description for the journal entry line.
DR Amount	This field displays the debit amount for the journal entry line.
CR Amount	This field displays the credit amount for the journal entry line.

Field or Button	Description
Customer Code	Enter the customer code for which you are entering profitability data, or click the Lookup button to select a customer code.
Customer Name	Enter the customer name for which you are entering profitability data, or click the Lookup button to select a customer name.
Amount	Enter the profitability amount for the customer.
Add	Click this button to add the profitability information for the journal entry line.
Remove	Click this button to remove the selected profitability information from the journal entry line.
Remove All	Click this button to remove all customer profitability information from the journal entry line.
Customer Profitability	This grid displays all customer profitability information for the journal entry line.

Field or Button	Description
Product Code	Enter the product code for which you are entering profitability data, or click the Lookup button to select a product code.
Product Name	Enter the product name for which you are entering profitability data, or click the Lookup button to select a product name.
Amount	Enter the profitability amount for the product.
Add	Click this button to add the profitability information for the journal entry line.
Remove	Click this button to remove the selected profitability information from the journal entry line.
Remove All	Click this button to remove all product profitability information from the journal entry line.
Product Profitability	This grid displays all product profitability information for the journal entry line.

Supplier Code	Enter the supplier code for which you are entering profitability data, or click the Lookup button to select a supplier code.
Supplier Name	Enter the supplier name for which you are entering profitability data, or click the Lookup button to select a supplier name.
Amount	Enter the profitability amount for the supplier.
Add	Click this button to add the profitability information for the journal entry line.
Remove	Click this button to remove the selected profitability information from the journal entry line.
Remove All	Click this button to remove all supplier profitability information from the journal entry line.
