Purpose

Define subcategories.

Overview

Use Product Subcategory Maintenance to define product subcategories that link to product categories. When you define a new product in Product Maintenance, after you select a category, you can select a defined subcategory for that category.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Product Subcategory Maintenance window.
New	Click this button to create a new product subcategory.
Update	Click this button to update the selected product subcategory.
Delete	Click this button to delete the selected product subcategory.
OK	Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
Cancel	Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
First	Click this button to display the first product subcategory.
Prev	Click this button to display the previous product subcategory.
Next	Click this button to display the next product subcategory.
Last	Click this button to display the last product subcategory.

Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Category	Enter a product category name, or click the Lookup button to select a product category.
Short Description	This field displays the description of the selected product category.

Field or Button	Description
Subcategory Code	Enter a product subcategory code, or click the Lookup button to select a product subcategory code.
Subcategory Name	Enter a product subcategory name, or click the Lookup button to select a product subcategory name.
Description	Enter a description for the product subcategory.
