Purpose

View work order component and cost category information.

Overview

Use Work Order Costs Inquiry to display detailed information about costs for components and cost categories associated with work orders. You can view general information for work orders for all or a specific work order, product, location, and/or work order status. You can then drill down to display operation information for a specific work order, and drill down further to view detailed component and/or cost category information.

Click this button to close the Work Order Costs Inquiry window.

Show Data

Click this button to display data in the Work Order Costs grid based on the selected criteria.

Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

All (Work Orders)

Select this check box to display information for all work orders. This check box is cleared by default.

WO #

Enter a work order number for which to display information, or click the Lookup button to select a work order number. This field is only enabled if the All check box to the left of it is cleared.

All (Products)

Select this check box to display work order information for all products. This check box is selected by default.

Product Code

Enter a product code for which to display work order information, or click the Lookup button to select a product code. This field is only enabled if the All check box to the left of it is cleared.

Name (Product)

Enter a product name for which to display work order information, or click the Lookup button to select a product name. This field is only enabled if the All check box to the left of it is cleared.

All (Locations)

Select this check box to display work order information for all locations. This check box is selected by default.

Location Prefix

Enter a location prefix for which to display work order information, or click the Lookup button to select a location prefix. This field is only enabled if the All check box to the left of it is cleared.

Name (Location)

Enter a location name for which to display work order information, or click the Lookup button to select a location name. This field is only enabled if the All check box to the left of it is cleared.

All (Work Order Statuses)

Select this check box to display work order information for all work order statuses. This check box is selected by default.

WO Status

Click the Lookup button to select a work order status for which to display work order information. This Lookup button is only enabled if the All check box to the left of it is cleared.

All (Operations)

Select this check box to display work order information for all operations. This check box is selected by default, and is only available if you drill down on a work order.

Operation Code

Enter an operation code for which to display work order information, or click the Lookup button to select an operation code. This field is only available if you drill down on a work order, and only enabled if the All check box to the left of it is cleared.

Name (Operation)

Enter an operation name for which to display work order information, or click the Lookup button to select an operation name. This field is only available if you drill down on a work order, and only enabled if the All check box to the left of it is cleared.

Click this button to go up one level in the Work Order Costs grid. The level hierarchy is as follows:

  1. Work Orders

  2. Operations

  3. Components or Cost Categories (based on the selected Drill Down option)

Click this button to drill down one level in the Work Order Costs grid.

All (Components)

Select this check box to display work order information for all components. This check box is selected by default, and only available if you drill down on an operation (with the Components radio button selected).

Component Code

Enter a component code for which to display work order information, or click the Lookup button to select a component code. This field is only available if you drill down on an operation (with the Components radio button selected), and only enabled if the All check box to the left of it is cleared.

Name (Component)

Enter a component name for which to display work order information, or click the Lookup button to select a component name. This field is only available if you drill down on an operation (with the Components radio button selected), and only enabled if the All check box to the left of it is cleared.

All (Cost Categories)

Select this check box to display work order information for all cost categories. This check box is selected by default, and only available if you drill down on an operation (with the Cost Categories radio button selected).

Category Code

Enter a cost category code for which to display work order information, or click the Lookup button to select a cost category code. This field is only available if you drill down on an operation (with the Cost Categories radio button selected), and only enabled if the All check box to the left of it is cleared.

Name (Category)

Enter a cost category name for which to display work order information, or click the Lookup button to select a cost category name. This field is only available if you drill down on an operation (with the Cost Categories radio button selected), and only enabled if the All check box to the left of it is cleared.

Drill Down

Select whether to drill down to component or cost category information. These radio buttons are only available if you drill down on a work order or operation.

This grid displays work order cost information based on the selected criteria. You can double-click the grid to drill down to more detailed data. You can also use the up or down arrow buttons to navigate up and down through the following information:

  • Work orders

  • Operations

  • Components/Cost Categories

  • Processes
