Purpose

View build information for products.
Select the active bill of material revision/version for a product.

Overview

Use Bill of Materials Revision / Version Update to display information on built products, so you can determine how many of the product can be built. You can also select the revision of a bill of material that is currently active. After you change the active version/revision, all other versions/revisions are retired.

Changing the Active Version of Bills of Material

To change the active version of a bill of material:

Enter the product code or name of the product for which you want to change the active version of a bill of material in the Product Code or Product Name field.
If you want to update the active version of a bill of material for all locations, select the All check box. Otherwise, enter the location prefix or name for which you want to update the bill of material in the Location Prefix or Location Name field.
Click the Update button in the ribbon.
In the Finished Item grid, select the check box in the Make Active column for the version of the bill of material that you want to make active.
Click the OK button in the ribbon.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Bill of Materials Revision / Version Update window.
Update	Click this button to update the active bill of material revision for a product.
OK	Click this button to change the active bill of material revision for a product.
Cancel	Click this button to cancel the change of the active bill of material revision for a product.

Inquiry Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Product Code	Enter a product code for which you want to view build information, or click the Lookup button to select a product code.
Product Name	Enter a product name for which you want to view build information, or click the Lookup button to select a product name.
All	Select this check box to display build information for all locations. This check box is cleared by default.
Location Prefix	Enter a location prefix for which to view build information for a product, or click the Lookup button to select a location prefix. This field is only available if the All check box is cleared.
Location Name	Enter a location name for which to view build information for a product, or click the Lookup button to select a location name. This field is only available if the All check box is cleared.
Sort	Select a method for sorting component products in the Components grid.
Show Only Active Revision	Select this check box to view only build information for the active revision of the product's bill of material. Clear this check box if you want to view all revisions of the product's bill of material.
Finished Item	This grid displays inventory information for a manufactured product. You can use this grid to select the active version/revision of a product's bill of material.
Components	This grid displays component information for a product selected in the Finished Item grid.
