Menu Path: Customer Service Module Setup Business Calendar Maintenance
Set up a business day calendar.
Use Business Calendar Maintenance to set up the business calendar year for product allocation purposes. The business calendar is comprised of business days (days open for business) and non-business days (days not open for business, such as Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays). The business calendar directly impacts the allocation days for a product. For information on setting up individual days in a business calendar as business or non-business days, see Business Calendar Day Maintenance.
Example A product has a one day allocation. An order entered on a Friday for the next Monday’s delivery is allocated if the intervening Saturday and Sunday are marked as non-business days.
Verify that a calendar is set up for the prior year, current year, and next year. Failure to have these set up can result in allocation problems. Generally, it is not necessary to delete the business calendar for prior years. A business calendar is automatically created for the current year, prior year, and the next 48 years when a new system ID is created.

Select the check box for the business days of the week for the business calendar year. By default, the check box is selected for all days except for Sunday and Saturday. Example When creating a new business calendar year for 2020, Monday through Friday were selected as business days. As a result, every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday in 2020 is marked as a business day. Holidays can then be marked as non-business days in Business Calendar Day Maintenance. |
