Complementary Product Maintenance

Purpose

Set up complementary products for a selected base product.

Overview

Use Complementary Product Maintenance to define products that are complementary to products being ordered in Order Entry. Products that are complementary to an ordered product can also be selected and ordered.

Example If you order some pads of paper, pens might be set up as complementary products.

You can also import complementary products in Complementary Product Import.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Complementary Product Maintenance window.
OK	Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available after you click the New or Delete button in the ribbon.
Cancel	Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available after you click the New or Delete button in the ribbon.
New	Click this button to create a new complementary product.
Delete	Click this button to delete the selected complementary product. To select a product, double-click it in the Existing Complementary Products grid.
First	Click this button to display the first product.
Prev	Click this button to display the previous product.
Next	Click this button to display the next product.
Last	Click this button to display the last product.

Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Base Product	Enter a product code or name for which to define complementary products, or click one of the Lookup buttons to select a product code or name.

Main Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Compl. Product	Enter the complementary product code or name, or click one of the Lookup buttons to select a complementary product code or name.
Create Reverse Compl. Product	Select this check box to create the reverse of the complementary product. If you select this check box, a second complementary product is created with the products in the Base Product and Compl. Product fields switched. This check box is only available when you are creating a complementary product.
Delete Reverse Compl. Product	Select this check box to delete the reverse of the selected complementary product. This check box is only available if you are deleting a complementary product for which a reverse complementary product exists.
Existing Complementary Products	This grid displays all complementary products for the selected product. To delete a complementary product, double-click it in the grid to select it, and then click the Delete button in the ribbon.
