Container Lot Entry

To use Container Lot Entry, click the Additional Lot Information button in the ribbon in Container Management.

Note To update lot information, you must be updating a container in Container Management before clicking the Additional Lot Information button. If you are not updating a container, you can only view lot information in Container Lot Entry.

Purpose

Enter and view lot information for a container.

Overview

Use Container Lot Entry to enter detailed lot and manufacturer lot information for a container and view previously entered information. For each lot record, you can associate manufacturer lot records.

Entering Lot Information

To enter lot information:

  1. Enter a lot in the Lot field.

  2. Enter a quantity in the Quantity field.

  3. Enter the lot expiration date in the Expiration Date field.

  4. Enter a lot best before date in the Best Before Date field.

  5. Enter user-defined lot data in the User Defined 1-10 fields.

  6. Click the Add button.

  7. If a manufacturer lot is associated with the lot, enter the manufacturer lot in the Manufacturer Lot field, enter the quantity in the Original Quantity field, enter any additional associated information, and click the lower Add button. Repeat for all manufacturer lots.

  8. Repeat steps 1-6 for all lots.

  9. Click the Exit button in the ribbon.

Click this button to close the Container Lot Entry window.

Main Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

Product Code

This field displays the product code of the lot-tracked product in the container.

Available Quantity

This field displays the quantity of the lot-tracked product in the unit of measure of the container line item.

Entered Quantity

This field displays the quantity of the lot-tracked product for which lots are already entered in the unit of measure of the container line item.

Remaining Quantity

This field displays the quantity of the lot-tracked product for which lots are not yet entered. This is equal to the available quantity minus the entered quantity.

Lot

Enter a lot for the container line item, or click the Lookup button to select an existing lot. You can enter a new lot or an existing lot.

Lot Description

Enter a description of the lot.

Quantity

Enter the quantity of the product in the lot in the unit of measure of the container line item.

Expiration Date

Enter the expiration date of the lot for the container line item, or click the drop-down arrow to select the date.

Best Before Date

Enter the date the container line item is best before, or click the drop-down arrow to select the date.

User Defined 1-10

Enter user-defined information associated with the lot.

Add (Lot)

Click this button to enter a lot record for the container. When you click this button, the lot information appears in the Lots grid.

Remove (Lot)

Click this button to remove the selected lot record from the Lots grid.

Lots

This grid displays lots associated with the selected product. Double-click a lot record to remove it from the grid.

Manufacturer Lot

Enter a manufacturer lot associated with the selected lot.

Original Quantity

Enter a product quantity associated with the manufacturer lot.

Other Information 1-4

Enter additional information associated with the manufacturer lot. The labels for these fields are set up in the Lot Detail Label 1-4 fields in Warehouse Management Control Maintenance.

Add (Manufacturer Lot)

Click this button to enter the manufacturer lot record for the container. When you click this button, the manufacturer lot information appears in the Manufacturer Lots grid.

Remove (Manufacturer Lot)

Click this button to remove the selected manufacturer lot record from the Manufacturer Lots grid.

Manufacturer Lots

This grid displays manufacturer lots associated with the selected lot in the Lots grid.
