Purpose

Define credit status reasons used for credit task inquiries.

Overview

Use Credit Status Reason Maintenance to define credit status reasons for credit hold tasks in Credit Task Management.

Example You could create a Callback status reason to indicate a customer has been called about a credit hold, and you are waiting for them to call back. You could create a Payment status reason if you are waiting for payment from a customer before releasing an order.

Adding Credit Status Reasons

To add a new credit status reason:

  1. Click the New button in the ribbon.

  2. Enter a name for the credit status in the Credit Status field.

  3. Enter a description of the status in the Description field.

  4. If you want to automatically close the credit task when it is assigned the status, select the Automatically Close Credit Task check box.

  5. Click the OK button in the ribbon. The credit status reason is created.

Updating Credit Status Reasons

To update a credit status reason:

  1. Enter the credit status reason in the Credit Status field.

  2. Click the Update button in the ribbon.

  3. Edit the credit status reason.

  4. Click the OK button in the ribbon. The credit status reason is updated.

Deleting Credit Status Reasons

To delete a credit status reason:

  1. Enter the credit status reason in the Credit Status field.

  2. Click the Delete button in the ribbon.

  3. Click the OK button in the ribbon. The credit status reason is deleted.

NOTE You cannot delete a credit status reason code if it has already been assigned to a credit task in Credit Task Management.

Click this button to create a new credit status.

Update

Click this button to update the selected credit status.

Delete

Click this button to delete the selected credit status.

OK

Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.

Cancel

Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.

First

Click this button to display the first credit status.

Prev

Click this button to display the previous credit status.

Next

Click this button to display the next credit status.

Last

Click this button to display the last credit status.

Enter a credit status name describing the credit status reason for an order that is on hold, or click the Lookup button to select a credit status name.
