To use Data Mapping, click the Data Mapping button in the ribbon in Lifecycle Task Maintenance.
Map a product project task to a product field.
Map a product project user-defined grid column to a product unit of measure field.
Use Data Mapping to map data between product project tasks and product fields so that users can create new products during workflow data entry. You can also use it to map data between product project user-defined grid columns and product unit of measure fields so that users can create new product unit of measure records during workflow data entry.
If you are not creating or editing a task when you open this window, the window is in Inquiry mode, and only allows you to view mapped tasks.

This grid displays fields for product project mapping. If you are editing or creating a task, you can map a field to the task or a selected grid column by selecting the check box in the Map column. If you are mapping fields for a user-defined grid task, you can double-click a cell in the Grid Column column to select a column to map to a field. You can map a single task or grid column to multiple fields. Tasks or grid columns must be mapped to all required fields before users can create products and/or product units of measure with a related workflow. Note Unmapped, required fields are highlighted in red. |
