BIC Code

A BIC code, or ISO 6346, is a unique code assigned to freight containers.

Note BIC is the acronym for Bureau International des Containers.

BIC codes are required for international transport and customs declaration documents.

A BIC code is defined, as follows:

  • U - Used for freight containers
