A campaign is a group of linked CRM activities intended to increase sales, reach new customers, or both. These activities are performed by marketing and sales users. Typical activities in a campaign include:
Contacting customers by phone or email
Visiting customers
Sending marketing material (electronic or physical)
Campaigns are targeted events run for a specific period of time, and for specific products/customers. At the end of a campaign, the results are measured to determine if the campaign was successful. For information on managing campaigns, see Campaign Management.
