Customer Prospects

AppriseĀ® allows you to specify whether a customer is a prospect or a regular customer.

To define a customer as a prospect, select Qualified Prospect in the Type field in Customer Maintenance. Customer is selected in the Type field by default.

Creating a customer as a prospect allows you to create a full customer record; however, sales, return, or transfer order processing cannot take place for the customer. The only options available for prospects are quote order processing and setting up contracts.

The Active check box in Customer Maintenance can be selected or cleared for a prospect. This setting does not affect the validity of the prospect.
