A sale type defines the type of sale that is being conducted for an order. User-defined sale types are created and maintained in Sales Type Maintenance.
Some common sale types include cash, credit card, regular, and none.
You can enter a default sale type for your user ID in User Extended Options. This will ensure the Sale Type field is populated each time you use Order Entry.
To select a sale type other than the default, click the Lookup button and double-click a sale type.
