Send EDI transactions.
Use EDI Send Process to send outgoing EDI transactions to a value-added network (VAN). This process is usually set up as an Scheduling Assistant task.
To send EDI transactions:
Enter the network ID of the network for which you want to send EDI transactions in the Network ID field. Information about the last time EDI transactions were sent for the network appears.
Click the Print Options tab, and select process options.
Click the Process button in the ribbon. The EDI Send Report is sent to the log file email address(es) specified in EDI Control Maintenance. If the Run Now radio button is selected, EDI transactions are sent, and the EDI Send Report is displayed. If the Schedule radio button is selected, EDI transactions are sent at the scheduled time(s).

Process |
Click this button to send transactions to the VAN and output the EDI Send Report. When you click this button, outbound compliance checking of enveloping segments is performed, and an error email is sent if any compliance errors are found. |

Select whether processing is performed by the client or Scheduling Assistant. If you select the Schedule radio button, you can specify when the task occurs, and optionally set up an alert to be created when the task completes. These radio buttons are only enabled if the Disable Scheduling Assistant check box is cleared for your user ID in User Profile Maintenance. |

Scheduling Assistant Queue |
Enter an active Scheduling Assistant queue for the task, or click the Lookup button to select a Scheduling Assistant queue. This defaults to the default queue for your user ID. This field is only enabled if you select the Schedule radio button, and you are assigned to a queue other than the Default queue. |
