DRP - Lead Time Calculation FAQ

Question: How is the lead time calculated in DRP?

Answer: If Transfer or Build is selected as the primary replenishment path in the Primary field in Product Location Maintenance, the lead time is the lead time value entered in the Lead Time field in Product Location Maintenance.

If Purchase is selected as the primary replenishment path in the Primary field in Product Location Maintenance, the following steps are taken to determine the lead time:

  1. If the lead time value entered in the Lead Time field in Supplier Product Maintenance for the product and the product's primary supplier (entered in Product Location Maintenance) is not zero, use that lead time value. If it is zero, continue to the next step.

  2. If the lead time value entered in the Lead Time field in Product Location Maintenance is not zero, use that lead time value. If it is zero, continue to the next step.

  3. If the lead time value entered in the Lead Time grid column in Supplier Maintenance for the product/location primary supplier (entered in Product Location Maintenance) is not zero, use that lead time value.

  4. If the lead time value entered in the Default Lead Time field in Supplier Maintenance for the product/location primary supplier (entered in Product Location Maintenance) is not zero, use that lead time value.
