Question: Can the customer's FedEx or UPS account number be passed to the shipping export file?
Answer: The customer's shipping account number (i.e., UPS or FedEx account number) can be entered in both the customer ship-to address records and on the Ship To tab in Order Entry. The value of the Shipping Account ID on the Ship To tab in Order Entry defaults from the same field on the selected customer's ship-to address.
The software determines the value of the customer's shipping account number by first looking at the Shipping Account ID field on the Ship To tab in Order Entry. If this value is blank, it looks for the value of the Shipping Account ID on the Ship-To tab in Customer Maintenance. The value of the BOL Terms radio set in Freight Collection Terms Maintenance determines how the Shipping Account ID field is used. If the Collect or 3rd Party radio button is selected, the shipping account ID is sent to the shipper. If the Prepaid radio button is selected, the shipping account ID is not sent to the shipper.
