Question: When can a customer’s order be voided in the system?
Answer: The following are guidelines on when a customer’s order can be voided:
If you void an order that has a printed pick demand that has not been confirmed, that pick demand will be cancelled.
If you void an order that has a pick demand that has been confirmed, but inventory has not been adjusted for it, the pick demand will remain, allowing you to ship the product(s) out. Voiding the order will affect any items that remain on the order. If you do not wish to ship out the confirmed pick demand, you can cancel the pick demand.
An order cannot be voided if inventory has been adjusted for the full order. If inventory is not adjusted for the full order, only those items that are picked or confirmed can be voided (as noted above).
An order cannot be voided if it has been invoiced.
NOTE When an order is voided while pick demands exist, the void process displays several messages stating there are open or confirmed pick demands. You have the option to void or not to void during these messages.
