Purpose

Rebuild sales and order forecast history.

Overview

Use Forecast Sales History Rebuild Utility to rebuild forecast sales and order history based on sales invoices and customers’ current forecast groups.

Example When the software is first installed, you only use one forecast group (All Others).

$Images\warning.gif$ You must be very cautious about rebuilding forecast sales history. It should be done during off-hours (while no invoices are being created). You need sales invoices to rebuild forecast sales history (so if you imported sales history instead of initially building it from sales invoices, you cannot rebuild forecast sales history for the period of time you used for the initial import).

It is highly recommended that you rebuild for all forecast groups (instead of selecting just one).

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Forecast Sales History Rebuild Utility window.
Clear	Click this button to clear the forecast sales history based on the selected criteria. After you click this button, the Cancel, POS, Actual, Both, Import History, and Copy History buttons appear in the ribbon.
Cancel	Click this button to cancel the clearing of forecast sales history. This button is only available after you click the Clear button in the ribbon.
Rebuild	Click this button to clear and rebuild forecast sales history. After you click this button, the Information dialog box appears, and asks you to confirm that you want to clear and rebuild the history.
POS	Click this button to clear point-of-sale forecast sales history based on the selected criteria. After you click this button, the Information dialog box appears to confirm that you want to clear the history. This button is only available after you click the Clear button in the ribbon.
Actual	Click this button to clear actual forecast sales history based on the selected criteria. After you click this button, the Information dialog box appears to confirm that you want to clear the history. This button is only available after you click the Clear button in the ribbon.
Both	Click this button to clear both actual and point-of-sale forecast sales history based on the selected criteria. After you click this button, the Information dialog box appears to confirm that you want to clear the history. This button is only available after you click the Clear button in the ribbon.
Import History	Click this button to clear imported forecast sales history based on the selected criteria. After you click this button, the Information dialog box appears to confirm that you want to clear the history. This button is only available after you click the Clear button in the ribbon.
Copy History	Click this button to clear copied forecast sales history based on the selected criteria. After you click this button, the Information dialog box appears to confirm that you want to clear the history. This button is only available after you click the Clear button in the ribbon.

General Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Rebuild Option	Select whether to rebuild forecast sales history only, order history (from bookings), or both sales and order history.
All Forecast Groups	Select this check box to clear or rebuild forecast sales history for all forecast groups. This check box is selected by default, and is only enabled if you select the Sales History or Both radio button.
Group	Enter a forecast group, or click the Lookup button to select a forecast group. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Forecast Groups check box.
Description	This field displays the forecast group description if you enter a forecast group in the Group field.
All Locations	Select this check box to clear or rebuild forecast sales history for all locations. This check box is selected by default, and is only enabled if you select the Sales History or Both radio button.
Prefix	Enter a location prefix for which to clear or rebuild forecast sales history, or click the Lookup button to select a location prefix. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Locations check box.
Name (Location)	Enter a location name for which to clear or rebuild forecast sales history, or click the Lookup button to select a location name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Locations check box.
All Products	Select this check box to clear or rebuild forecast sales history for all products. This check box is selected by default, and is only enabled if you select the Sales History or Both radio button.
Code	Enter a product code for which to clear or rebuild forecast sales history, or click the Lookup button to select a product code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Products check box.
Name (Product)	Enter a product name for which to clear or rebuild forecast sales history, or click the Lookup button to select a product name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Products check box.
All Dates	Select this check box to clear or rebuild forecast sales history for all transaction dates. This check box is selected by default, and is only enabled if you select the Sales History or Both radio button.
From	Enter the first date in a range of transaction dates for which to clear or rebuild forecast sales history, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Dates check box.
To	Enter the last date in a range of transaction dates for which to clear or rebuild forecast sales history, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Dates check box.
All History Customers	Select this check box to clear or rebuild forecast order history for all customers. This check box is selected by default, and is only enabled if you select the Order History or Both radio button.
Customer	Enter a customer code for which to clear or rebuild forecast order history, or click the Lookup button to select a customer code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All History Customers check box. NOTE This field is only used if the Order History or Both radio button is selected in the Rebuild Option radio set, and the Rebuild button in the ribbon is clicked. It is not used when clearing sales history.
Name (Customer)	Enter a customer name for which to clear or rebuild forecast order history, or click the Lookup button to select a customer name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All History Customers check box.
Import History	Select this check box to rebuild imported forecast sales history based on the selected criteria.
Copy History	Select this check box to rebuild copied forecast sales history based on the selected criteria.
