Maintain 1099 form types.
Maintain reporting boxes for 1099 form types.
Use Form 1099 Reporting Box Maintenance to add, update, or delete 1099 form types for suppliers that require 1099 tax forms. You can also set up reporting boxes for each 1099 form type.
1099 tax forms can be filed with the United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS). For more information on 1099 form types, refer to www.irs.gov/instructions/index.html.
Note You can only print to form types created in this window if you use 1099 Express™. You cannot use this functionality with 1099 forms printed in Form 1099 Print.
To define a new 1099 form type:
Click the New button in the ribbon.
Enter the 1099 form type in the 1099 Form Type field.
Enter reporting box information in the Reporting Box, Reporting Box Label, and Description fields, and then click the Add button. Repeat this for each reporting box for the 1099 form type.
Click the OK button in the ribbon. The 1099 form type is created.
