Purpose

Define valid FOB codes.

Overview

Use Freight On Board Maintenance to set up valid FOB codes, which then can be defaulted for customers (to flow through to sales orders) and/or suppliers (to flow through to purchase orders). FOB codes are generally used to determine when title passes to goods when the goods are shipped from an origin to a destination. This determines who bears the risk of loss if something happens to the goods while in transit.

The following table lists examples of FOB codes.
