Menu Path: Accounts Receivable Module Setup Freight On Board Maintenance
Define valid FOB codes.
Use Freight On Board Maintenance to set up valid FOB codes, which then can be defaulted for customers (to flow through to sales orders) and/or suppliers (to flow through to purchase orders). FOB codes are generally used to determine when title passes to goods when the goods are shipped from an origin to a destination. This determines who bears the risk of loss if something happens to the goods while in transit.
The following table lists examples of FOB codes.

Title passes at the point of shipment. |
Destination |
Title passes when goods are delivered to the destination. |
On-Board Ship |
Title passes when goods are loaded onto a ship. |
To add a new FOB code:
Click the New button in the ribbon.
Enter an FOB code in the FOB field.
Enter a long name of the FOB in the FOB Name field.
Click the OK button in the ribbon. The FOB code is created.
To update an FOB code:
Display the FOB code you want to update.
Click the Update button in the ribbon.
Update the FOB code information as necessary.
Click the OK button in the ribbon. The FOB code is updated.
To delete an FOB code:
Display the FOB code you want to delete.
Click the Delete button in the ribbon.
Click the OK button in the ribbon. The FOB code is deleted.
Note You cannot delete an FOB if it was already used for a sales order.

Click this button to display FOB codes in the grid on the Inquiry tab. This button is only available if you click the Inquiry tab. |
First |
Click this button to display the first FOB. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed. |
Prev |
Click this button to display the previous FOB. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed. |
Next |
Click this button to display the next FOB. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed. |
Last |
Click this button to display the last FOB. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed. |
