Purpose

Set up and maintain hazardous material codes.

Overview

Use Hazardous Material Maintenance to create, edit, and delete hazardous codes for products. Hazard codes can be associated with products on the Warehouse tab in Product Maintenance.

Creating Hazard Codes

To create a hazard code:

  1. Click the New button in the ribbon.

  2. Enter a hazard code in the Hazard Code field.

  3. Enter a description of the hazard code in the Description field.

  4. Enter a detailed description of the hazard code in the Detailed Description field.

  5. Enter additional hazard code information in the user-defined fields.

  6. Click the OK button in the ribbon. The hazard code is created.

Exit

Click this button to close the Hazardous Material Maintenance window.

New

Click this button to create a new hazard code.

Update

Click this button to update the selected hazard code.

Delete

Click this button to delete the selected hazard code.

OK

Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.

Cancel

Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.

First

Click this button to display the first hazard code.

Prev

Click this button to display the previous hazard code.

Next

Click this button to display the next hazard code.

Last

Click this button to display the last hazard code.

Enter the appropriate information in these hazard code user-defined fields. The label names and validations for these fields are set up in User Defined Fields Maintenance.
