Purpose

View product inventory and cost history over a period of time.

Overview

Use Inventory and Cost History to display historical records of inventory quantities and costs for one product or all products in one location or all locations for a range of dates. You can also view detailed information for products tracked by lot or serial number.

Note Prior history is only available if you store inventory and cost history. To store this history, select the Store Inventory and Cost History check box in Warehouse Management Control Maintenance. History is stored in the database only after the Store Inventory and Cost History check box is selected. Inventory and Cost History does not display historical data from before that check box was selected.

Click this button to close the Inventory and Cost History window.

Show Data

Click this button to display data based on the selected criteria.

Select Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

All Locations

Select this check box to display inventory and cost data for all locations. This check box is selected by default.

Location

Enter a location prefix or name for which to display inventory and cost data, or click the Lookup button to select a location prefix or name. These fields are only enabled if you clear the All Locations check box.

All Products

Select this check box to display inventory and cost data for all products. This check box is selected by default, and is only available if the Show Lot/Serial Detail check box is cleared.

Product Code

Enter a product code for which to display inventory and cost data, or click the Lookup button to select a product code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Products check box.

Product Name

Enter a product name for which to display inventory and cost data, or click the Lookup button to select a product name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Products check box.

From Date

Enter the first date in a range of dates for which to display inventory and cost data, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date.

To Date

Enter the last date in a range of dates for which to display inventory and cost data, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date.

Show Lot/Serial Detail

Select this check box to display inventory and cost data for specific lots or serial numbers. If you select this check box, you must select a specific lot- or serial-tracked product.

Inventory and Cost History

This grid displays history data for the product(s) and location(s) selected on the Select tab after you click the Show Data button in the ribbon.

Note If multiple cost changes were made in the same day, only the last change is displayed in this grid.
