Purpose

Set up classes for supplier production monitoring product grouping.

Overview

Use Monitoring Class Maintenance to create, edit, and delete supplier production monitoring classes, which you can use to group products.

Example You can create a supplier production monitoring class called Electrical Products to group all electrical products.

You can assign supplier production monitoring classes to specific products. You can also assign supplier production monitoring classes to product categories and products in Product Category Maintenance and Product Maintenance.

Creating Monitoring Classes

To create a new monitoring class:

Click the New button in the ribbon.
Enter a code for the monitoring class in the Class Code field.
Enter a description of the monitoring class in the Short Description field. If you want to add a more detailed description, enter it in the Detailed Description field.
Click the OK button in the ribbon. The monitoring class is created.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Monitoring Class Maintenance window.
New	Click this button to create a new monitoring class.
Update	Click this button to update the selected monitoring class.
Delete	Click this button to delete the selected monitoring class.
Show Data	Click this button to display products on the Products tab. This button is only available if you click the Products tab.
OK	Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
Cancel	Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
First	Click this button to display the first monitoring class.
Prev	Click this button to display the previous monitoring class.
Next	Click this button to display the next monitoring class.
Last	Click this button to display the last monitoring class.

Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Class Code	Enter a monitoring class code, or click the Lookup button to select an existing monitoring class code.

Main Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Short Description	Enter a description of the monitoring class.
Detailed Description	Enter a detailed description of the monitoring class.

Products Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Product	Enter a product code or name for the selected monitoring class, or click one of the Lookup buttons to select a product code or name.
Add	Click this button to add the product entered in the Product field to the selected monitoring class.
Remove	Click this button to remove the product entered in the Product field from the selected monitoring class.
Available Products	This grid displays products that you can add to the selected monitoring class. To add a product to the selected monitoring class, double-click it.
	Click this button to add the product selected in the Available Products grid to the Selected Products grid.
	Click this button to add all products in the Available Products grid to the Selected Products grid.
	Click this button to remove all products in the Selected Products grid.
	Click this button to remove the selected product from the Selected Products grid.
Selected Products	This grid displays products for the selected monitoring class.
