Purpose

Assign workflow definitions to workflows.

Overview

Use Monitoring Workflow Assignment to assign supplier production monitoring workflow definitions to workflows either manually or automatically based on workflow rules set up in Monitoring Rule Maintenance. After you assign workflow definitions to workflows, you can assign supplier production monitoring teams to tasks for the workflows in Monitoring Team Assignment.

Assigning Workflow Definitions to Workflows

To assign workflow definitions to workflows:

  1. Enter criteria for which you want to assign workflow definitions on the Selection tab. The options available depend on the workflow type and level you specify.

  2. Click the Show Data button in the ribbon. The View tab is selected automatically and displays workflows that meet the criteria you selected in step 1.

  3. If you want to automatically assign workflow definitions based on existing workflow rules, click the Auto Assign button in the ribbon. The workflow definitions are assigned.

  4. If you want to manually assign workflow definitions, enter workflow definitions for each workflow in the Assigned Workflow column. The check box in the Workflow Selected column is automatically selected for each workflow for which you enter a workflow definition. Click the Assign Workflows button in the ribbon. The workflow definitions are assigned.

Show Data

Click this button to display workflows on the View tab based on criteria selected on the Selection tab.

Assign Workflows

Click this button to assign workflow definitions to each workflow for which the check box is selected in the Workflow Selected column in the Workflows grid.

Auto Assign

Click this button to automatically assign workflow definitions to workflows based on workflow rules set up in Monitoring Rule Maintenance. Workflows that are already assigned workflow definitions are not automatically assigned workflow definitions.

Assignment Status

Select whether to display workflows for which a workflow definition is assigned, not assigned, or both.

All (Workflow Types)

Select this check box to display workflows for all workflow types. This check box is selected by default.

Workflow Type

Enter a workflow type for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a workflow type. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Workflow Types) check box.

List (Workflow Types)

Click this button to display Monitoring Rule Value List Selection, which allows you to select workflow types for which to display workflows. After you select workflow types, the check box to the right of this button is selected. This button is only enabled if you clear the All (Workflow Types) check box.

All (Workflow Levels)

Select this check box to display workflows for all workflow levels. This check box is selected by default, and only enabled if you clear the All (Workflow Types) check box.

Workflow Level

Enter a workflow level for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a workflow level. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Workflow Levels) check box.

List (Workflow Level)

Click this button to display Monitoring Rule Value List Selection, which allows you to select workflow levels for which to display workflows. After you select workflow levels, the check box to the right of this button is selected. This button is only enabled if you clear the All (Workflow Levels) check box.

All (Reference Numbers)

Select this check box to display workflows for all reference numbers (purchase order numbers, product codes, etc.). This check box is selected by default, and only enabled if you clear the All (Workflow Types) check box.

Reference Number

Enter a reference number (purchase order number, product code, etc.) for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a reference number. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Reference Numbers) check box.

List (Reference Numbers)

Click this button to display Monitoring Rule Value List Selection, which allows you to select reference numbers for which to display workflows. After you select reference numbers, the check box to the right of this button is selected. This button is only enabled if you clear the All (Reference Numbers) check box.

All (Dates)

Select this check box to display workflows for all dates. This check box is selected by default.

Start Date

Enter the first date in a range of dates for which to display workflows, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date from a calendar. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Dates) check box.

End Date

Enter the last date in a range of dates for which to display workflows, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date from a calendar. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Dates) check box.

All (Customers)

Select this check box to display workflows for all customers. This check box is selected by default, and only available for applicable workflow levels.

Customer Code

Enter a customer code for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a customer code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Customers) check box.

Customer Name

Enter a customer name for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a customer name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Customers) check box.

List (Customers)

Click this button to display Monitoring Rule Value List Selection, which allows you to select customers for which to display workflows. After you select customers, the check box to the right of this button is selected. This button is only enabled if you clear the All (Customers) check box.

All (Suppliers)

Select this check box to display workflows for all suppliers. This check box is selected by default, and only available for applicable workflow levels.

Supplier Code

Enter a supplier code for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a supplier code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Suppliers) check box.

Supplier Name

Enter a supplier name for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a supplier name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Suppliers) check box.

List (Suppliers)

Click this button to display Monitoring Rule Value List Selection, which allows you to select suppliers for which to display workflows. After you select suppliers, the check box to the right of this button is selected. This button is only enabled if you clear the All (Suppliers) check box.

All (Sales Representatives)

Select this check box to display workflows for all sales representatives. This check box is selected by default, and only available for applicable workflow levels.

Sales Representative ID

Enter a sales representative for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a sales representative. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Sales Representatives) check box.

List (Sales Representatives)

Click this button to display Monitoring Rule Value List Selection, which allows you to select sales representatives for which to display workflows. After you select sales representatives, the check box to the right of this button is selected. This button is only enabled if you clear the All (Sales Representatives) check box.

All (Harmonization Codes)

Select this check box to display workflows for all harmonization codes. This check box is selected by default, and only available for applicable workflow levels.

Harmonization Code

Enter a harmonization code for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a harmonization code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Harmonization Codes) check box.

List (Harmonization Codes)

Click this button to display Monitoring Rule Value List Selection, which allows you to select harmonization codes for which to display workflows. After you select harmonization codes, the check box to the right of this button is selected. This button is only enabled if you clear the All (Harmonization Codes) check box.

All (Currencies)

Select this check box to display workflows for all currencies. This check box is selected by default, and only available for applicable workflow levels.

Currency

Enter a currency for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a currency. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Currencies) check box.

List (Currency)

Click this button to display Monitoring Rule Value List Selection, which allows you to select currencies for which to display workflows. After you select currencies, the check box to the right of this button is selected. This button is only enabled if you clear the All (Currencies) check box.

All (Product Categories)

Select this check box to display workflows for all product categories. This check box is selected by default, and only available for applicable workflow levels.

Category

Enter a product category for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a product category. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Product Categories) check box.

List (Product Categories)

Click this button to display Monitoring Rule Value List Selection, which allows you to select product categories for which to display workflows. After you select product categories, the check box to the right of this button is selected. This button is only enabled if you clear the All (Product Categories) check box.

All (Product Subcategories)

Select this check box to display workflows for all product subcategories. This check box is selected by default, and only available for applicable workflow levels.

Subcategory

Enter a product subcategory for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a product subcategory. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Product Subcategories) check box.

List (Product Subcategories)

Click this button to display Monitoring Rule Value List Selection, which allows you to select product subcategories for which to display workflows. After you select product subcategories, the check box to the right of this button is selected. This button is only enabled if you clear the All (Product Subcategories) check box.

All (Locations)

Select this check box to display workflows for all locations. This check box is selected by default, and only available for applicable workflow levels.

Location Prefix

Enter a location prefix for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a location prefix. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Locations) check box.

Location Name

Enter a location name for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a location name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Locations) check box.

List (Locations)

Click this button to display Monitoring Rule Value List Selection, which allows you to select locations for which to display workflows. After you select locations, the check box to the right of this button is selected. This button is only enabled if you clear the All (Locations) check box.

All (Freight On Board Codes)

Select this check box to display workflows for all freight on board codes. This check box is selected by default, and only available for applicable workflow levels.

FOB Code

Enter a freight on board code for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a freight on board code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Freight On Board Codes) check box.

FOB Name

Enter a freight on board name for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a freight on board name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Freight On Board Codes) check box.

List (Freight On Board Codes)

Click this button to display Monitoring Rule Value List Selection, which allows you to select freight on board codes for which to display workflows. After you select freight on board codes, the check box to the right of this button is selected. This button is only enabled if you clear the All (Freight On Board Codes) check box.

All (Payment Terms)

Select this check box to display workflows for all payment terms. This check box is selected by default, and only available for applicable workflow levels.

Payment Terms

Enter payment terms for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select payment terms. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Payment Terms) check box.

List (Payment Terms)

Click this button to display Monitoring Rule Value List Selection, which allows you to select payment terms for which to display workflows. After you select payment terms, the check box to the right of this button is selected. This button is only enabled if you clear the All (Payment Terms) check box.

All (Products)

Select this check box to display workflows for all products. This check box is selected by default, and only available for applicable workflow levels.

Product Code

Enter a product code for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a product code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Products) check box.

Product Name

Enter a product name for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a product name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Products) check box.

List (Products)

Click this button to display Monitoring Rule Value List Selection, which allows you to select products for which to display workflows. After you select products, the check box to the right of this button is selected. This button is only enabled if you clear the All (Products) check box.

All (Purchase Classes)

Select this check box to display workflows for all purchase classes. This check box is selected by default, and only available for applicable workflow levels.

PO Class

Enter a purchase class ID for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a purchase class ID. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Purchase Classes) check box.

Class Name

Enter a purchase class name for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a purchase class name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Purchase Classes) check box.

List (Purchase Classes)

Click this button to display Monitoring Rule Value List Selection, which allows you to select purchase classes for which to display workflows. After you select purchase classes, the check box to the right of this button is selected. This button is only enabled if you clear the All (Purchase Classes) check box.

All (Purchase Dates)

Select this check box to display workflows for all purchase dates. This check box is selected by default, and only available for applicable workflow levels.

Purchase Date

Enter a purchase date for which to display workflows, or click the drop-down arrow to select a purchase date. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Purchase Dates) check box.

All (Supplier Production Monitoring Classes)

Select this check box to display workflows for all supplier production monitoring classes. This check box is selected by default, and only available for applicable workflow levels.

Monitoring Class

Enter a supplier production monitoring class for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a supplier production monitoring class. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Supplier Production Monitoring Classes) check box.

List (Supplier Production Monitoring Classes)

Click this button to display Monitoring Rule Value List Selection, which allows you to select supplier production monitoring classes for which to display workflows. After you select supplier production monitoring classes, the check box to the right of this button is selected. This button is only enabled if you clear the All (Supplier Production Monitoring Classes) check box.

All (Billing Customers)

Select this check box to display workflows for all billing customers. This check box is selected by default, and only available for applicable workflow levels.

Billing Customer

Enter a customer code of a billing customer for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a customer code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Billing Customers) check box.

Billing Cust Name

Enter a customer name of a billing customer for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a customer name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Billing Customers) check box.

List (Billing Customers)

Click this button to display Monitoring Rule Value List Selection, which allows you to select billing customers for which to display workflows. After you select billing customers, the check box to the right of this button is selected. This button is only enabled if you clear the All (Billing Customers) check box.

All (Product Lines)

Select this check box to display workflows for all product lines. This check box is selected by default, and only available for applicable workflow levels.

Product Line Code

Enter a product line code for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a product line code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Product Lines) check box.

Product Line Name

Enter a product line name for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a product line name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Product Lines) check box.

List (Product Lines)

Click this button to display Monitoring Rule Value List Selection, which allows you to select product lines for which to display workflows. All (Product Styles)

Select this check box to display workflows for all product styles. This check box is selected by default, and only available for applicable workflow levels.

Color Name

Price Class

Select this check box to display workflows for all family price codes. This check box is selected by default, and only available for applicable workflow levels.

Family Price Code

Enter a family price code for which to display workflows, or click the Lookup button to select a family price code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All (Family Price Codes) check box.

Click this button to display Monitoring Rule Value List Selection, which allows you to select family price codes for which to display workflows. After you select family price codes, the check box to the right of this button is selected. This button is only enabled if you clear the All (Family Price Codes) check box.

Workflows

This grid displays workflows that meet the criteria on the Selection tab after you click the Show Data button in the ribbon. You can enter a workflow definition in the Assigned Workflow column for each workflow. You can double-click an open workflow to display Monitoring Workflow Team Assignment, which allows you to assign supplier production monitoring teams to tasks.

This grid includes the following columns:

  • Workflow Selected - The check box in this column is selected for each workflow for which a workflow definition is entered in the Assigned Workflow column.

  • Status - This column displays the assignment status for each workflow.

  • Workflow Type - This column displays the workflow type for each workflow.

  • Workflow Level - This column displays the workflow level for each workflow.

  • Reference Number - This column displays the associated reference number for each workflow. The meaning of this number depends on the workflow type. For a Product type workflow, this is the product code. For a Purchase Order type workflow, this is the purchase order number.

  • Workflow ID - This column displays the workflow ID assigned for each workflow. This column is blank until a workflow definition is assigned to a workflow.

  • Assigned Workflow - Enter a workflow definition to assign to each workflow, or double-click this column for a workflow to select a workflow definition.
