To use Open a New Batch, click the Open, Open Batch, Open Manual Batch, or Open Electronic Batch button on the Batch tab in the ribbon in any window that tracks transactions by batch.
Open a new batch.
Use Open a New Batch to create a new batch for transactions. You can enter the number of transactions that you expect to be in the batch and the amount of these transactions. You can also enter a description and remarks for the batch, and select the default currency for the batch.
To open a batch:
Enter information in the Expected Count, Expected Amount, Description, and Remarks fields to identify why the batch was created and/or what it contains.
Verify the currency entered in the Currency field is correct for the batch.
If you do not want to use the batch as your current batch, clear the Use As Your Current Batch check box.
If you want to allow reconciliation of individual payments for bank reconciliation, select the Reconcile Individual Payments check box. This is typically selected for an electronic batch.
Click the OK button in the ribbon. The batch is opened.
