Order Pad Method Maintenance

Purpose

Define valid order pad methods.

Use Order Pad Method Maintenance to set up pre-defined order pad types to facilitate customer order entry.

This program was also designed to facilitate the population of order pad records, based on an entered custom program name.

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Order Pad Method Maintenance window.
New	Click this button to create a new order pad method. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.
Update	Click this button to update the selected order pad method. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.
Delete	Click this button to delete the selected order pad method. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.
OK	Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available if you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
Cancel	Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available if you click New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
Show Data	Click this button to display order pad methods based on the selected criteria on the Inquiry tab. This button is only available if you click the Inquiry tab.
First	Click this button to display the first order pad method. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.
Prev	Click this button to display the previous order pad method. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.
Next	Click this button to display the next order pad method. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.
Last	Click this button to display the last order pad method. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.

Field or Button	Description
Order Pad Method	Enter an order pad method, or click the Lookup button to select an order pad method.

Field or Button	Description
Active	Select this check box to make this order pad method active in Order Entry.
Default	Select this check box to make the order pad method the default order pad in Order Entry. This check box is only enabled if you select the Active check box.
Display on Internet	Select this check box to allow the order pad to display on customer portals. This check box is only enabled if you select the Active check box.
Description	Enter a description of the order pad method.
Program Name	Enter the name of a custom program designed to create order pad records automatically.
Data Type	Select one of the following to determine the customer(s) that can use this order pad method: Customer - Only appears for specific customers. Price Book - Only appears for specific price book groups of customers. All - Available for all customers.
User Label Fields	Enter labels for the order pad method. These fields can be used in conjunction with the custom program entered in the Program Name field to facilitate the creation of order pad records.

Note This tab is disabled if you are creating, editing, or deleting an order pad method.

Field or Button	Description
All Order Pad Methods	Select this check box to display all order pad methods. This check box is selected by default.
From	Enter an order pad method you want to display, or click the Lookup button to select an order pad method. If you want to display a range of order pad methods, enter the first order pad method in the range, or click the Lookup button to select an order pad method. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Order Pad Methods check box.
To	Enter the last order pad method in a range of order pad methods, or click the Lookup button to select an order pad method. If you want to display a single order pad method, you can leave this field blank. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Order Pad Methods check box.
Data Type	Select whether to display order pad methods for all customers, for specific customers, or for specific price books.
Order Pad Methods	This grid displays order pad methods that meet the selected criteria after you click the Show Data button in the ribbon. Double-click an order pad method to display it on the Main tab.
