Purpose

Define price change reasons.

Overview

Use Price Change Reason Maintenance to create price change reason codes, which can be used when users override prices during order entry. The reason code is stored on the overridden order line for future reporting and analysis.

To require the use of price change reason codes for specific users, select Yes for the Require Price Change Reason field in User Extended Options.

Note A user first must have the authority to change prices by selecting the Can change price at order time check box in User Extended Options.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Price Change Reason Maintenance window.
New	Click this button to create a new price change reason.
Update	Click this button to edit the selected price change reason.
Delete	Click this button to delete the selected price change reason.
OK	Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
Cancel	Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
First	Click this button to display the first price change reason.
Prev	Click this button to display the previous price change reason.
Next	Click this button to display the next price change reason.
Last	Click this button to display the last price change reason.

Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Price Change Reason Code	Enter a price change reason code, or click the Lookup button to select a price change reason code.

Short Description	Enter a short description for the price change reason.
Detailed Description	Enter a long description for the price change reason.
Active	Select this check box to allow this price change reason to be selected during order entry.
