Purpose

Enter, view, edit, or delete purchase cost classes.

Overview

Use Purchase Cost Class Maintenance to group similar products for purchase costs. This method of grouping similar products allows you to define costs for a cost class in the Purchase Cost Matrix Maintenance.

Creating Cost Classes

To create a new cost class:

Click the New button in the ribbon.
Enter a cost class name in the Cost Class field.
Enter a brief description of the cost class in the Short Description field.
Enter a detailed definition of the cost class in the Detailed Description field.
Click the OK button in the ribbon. The cost class is created.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Purchase Cost Class Maintenance window.
New	Click this button to create a new purchase cost class.
Update	Click this button to update the selected purchase cost class.
Delete	Click this button to delete the selected purchase cost class.
OK	Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
Cancel	Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
First	Click this button to display the first purchase cost class.
Prev	Click this button to display the previous purchase cost class.
Next	Click this button to display the next purchase cost class.
Last	Click this button to display the last purchase cost class.

Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Cost Class	Enter the cost class name, or click the Lookup button to select a cost class name.

Short Description	Enter a brief description of the cost class.
Detailed Description	Enter a detailed description that includes the properties of the cost class.
