Purpose

Enter, view, edit, or delete reorder trigger methods.

Overview

Use Reorder Trigger Method Maintenance to set up calculations to determine reorder trigger quantity requirements. Reorder trigger methods are used to construct buying methods.

Note This method is only applicable when using the Reorder Point methodology; it has no applicability for the Time-Phased methodology. For more information on the Reorder Point methodology, see Distribution Resource Planning Overview.

You can build standard and custom reorder trigger quantity methods based on different reorder trigger quantity parameters and reorder trigger quantity logic.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Reorder Trigger Method Maintenance window.
New	Click this button to create a new reorder trigger method.
Update	Click this button to update the selected reorder trigger method.
Delete	Click this button to delete the selected reorder trigger method.
OK	Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
Cancel	Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
First	Click this button to display the first reorder trigger method.
Prev	Click this button to display the previous reorder trigger method.
Next	Click this button to display the next reorder trigger method.
Last	Click this button to display the last reorder trigger method.

Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Method Name	Enter the reorder trigger method name, or click the Lookup button to select a reorder trigger method.

Main Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
System Default	Select this check box if this is the default reorder trigger method.
Short Description	Enter a brief description of the reorder trigger method.
Detailed Description	Enter a detailed description of the reorder trigger method.
Use to Determine Best Fit	This check box is slated for functionality in a future release.
Program Name	Enter the program name used to perform calculations for this reorder trigger method. Note Program names are supplied by Apprise. Do not use any name that has not been approved by Apprise. For more information, see DRP - Reorder Trigger Quantity Method FAQ.
Parameters	This grid displays calculation parameters used to perform reorder trigger calculations.
Name	This field displays the selected parameter name. Parameters are used as part of the reorder trigger method calculations. Note Parameter names are supplied only by Apprise. Do not use any parameter name that has not been assigned by Apprise. For more information, see DRP - Reorder Trigger Quantity Method FAQ.
Type	This field displays the type of field (character, integer, decimal, date, or logical) associated with the selected parameter. This is specified only by Apprise. For more information, see DRP - Reorder Trigger Quantity Method FAQ.
Value	Enter the default value for the selected parameter in the Parameters grid, or click the Lookup button to select a default value. For more information, see DRP - Reorder Trigger Quantity Method FAQ. Note This default value can be changed when setting up a buying method.
New	Click this button to create a new parameter for the reorder trigger method. This button is only enabled if you are creating a new reorder trigger method, or updating a reorder trigger method that is not a system default.
Update	Click this button to update the selected parameter for the reorder trigger method.
Delete	Click this button to delete the selected parameter for the reorder trigger method. This button is only enabled if you are creating a new reorder trigger method, or updating a reorder trigger method that is not a system default.
OK	Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button.
Cancel	Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button.
