Purpose

View sales contract information and sales order line items associated with sales contracts.

Overview

Use Sales Contract Inquiry to display sales contract information for all or a range of sales contract codes, dates, products, customers and/or customer contracts. You can also optionally include to display sales contract information for expired and exceeded contracts.

Using the Inquiry

To use Sales Contract Inquiry:

  1. Select whether to display sales contract information for order or product type contracts.

  2. Select filter criteria for the sales contracts you want to display.

  3. If you want to display expired or exceeded sales contracts, select the Show Expired Contracts check box and/or Show Exceeded Contracts check box.

  4. Click the Show Data button in the ribbon. The Results tab displays sales contracts for the options you selected in steps 1-3.

  5. Select a sales contract to display order line items associated with it.

Main Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

Contract Type

Select one of the following sales contract types for which to display contract information:

  • Order - A sales contract associated with sales orders.

  • Product - A sales contract associated with specific line items on sales orders.

All Contract Codes

Select this check box to display sales contracts for all sales contract codes. This check box is selected by default.

From (Contract Code)

Enter the first sales contract code in a range of sales contract codes for which to display sales contracts, or click the Lookup button to select a sales contract code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Contract Codes check box.

To (Contract Code)

Enter the last sales contract code in a range of sales contract codes for which to display sales contracts, or click the Lookup button to select a sales contract code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Contract Codes check box.

All Dates

Select this check box to display sales contracts for all dates. This check box is selected by default.

From (Date)

Enter the first date in a range of dates for which to display sales contracts, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Dates check box.

Note For a sales contract to display, the date range of the sales contract must be included in the date range entered.

To (Date)

Enter the last date in a range of dates for which to display sales contracts, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Dates check box.

All Products

Select this check box to display sales contracts for all products. This check box is selected by default, and is only enabled if you select the Product radio button.

From (Product)

Enter the first product in a range of products for which to display sales contracts. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Products check box.

To (Product)

Enter the last product in a range of products for which to display sales contracts. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Products check box.

All Product Line Codes

Select this check box to display sales contracts for all product lines. This check box is selected by default, and is only enabled if you select the Product radio button.

Code (Product Line)

Enter a product line code for which to display sales contracts, or click the Lookup button to select a product line code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Product Line Codes check box.

Name (Product Line)

Enter a product line name for which to display sales contracts, or click the Lookup button to select a product line name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Product Line Codes check box.

All Product Styles

Select this check box to display sales contracts for all product styles. This check box is selected by default, and is only enabled if you select the Product radio button.

Code (Product Style)

Enter a product style code for which to display sales contracts, or click the Lookup button to select a product style code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Product Styles check box.

Name (Product Style)

Enter a product style name for which to display sales contracts, or click the Lookup button to select a product style name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Product Styles check box.

All Customers

Select this check box to display sales contracts for all customers. This check box is selected by default.

From (Customer)

Enter the first customer code in a range of customer codes for which to display sales contracts, or click the Lookup button to select a customer code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Customers check box.

To (Customer)

Enter the last customer code in a range of customer codes for which to display sales contracts, or click the Lookup button to select a customer code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Customers check box.

All Customer Contracts

Select this check box to display sales contracts for all customer contracts. This check box is selected by default.

Customer Contract Number

Enter a customer contract number for which to display sales contracts, or click the Lookup button to select a customer contract number. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Customer Contracts check box.

Show Expired Contracts

Select this check box to display sales contracts that are marked as expired. This check box is cleared by default.

Show Exceeded Contracts

Select this check box to display sales contracts for which the contract amounts or quantities were exceeded. This check box is cleared by default.

Results Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

Main

This grid displays contract information based on the criteria selected on the Main tab. Double-click a contract to display Sales Contract Maintenance, which allows you to view and edit the contract.

Detail

This grid displays order line items associated with the selected contract in the Main grid. Double-click an order number in the Order Number column to display Order Edit, which allows you to view and update information for the order.

Note If you are not authorized to use Order Edit, the Order Entry window appears instead, and allows you to view and update information for the order. If you are not authorized to use Order Edit or Order Entry, the Order Inquiry window appears instead, and allows you to view order information for the order.
