Set up and maintain sample reasons.
Use Sample Reason Maintenance to view, create, edit, and delete sample reason codes, which are used to specify the reason an order line item is being entered for samples.
To create a sample reason:
Click the New button in the ribbon.
Enter a sample reason code in the Sample Reason Code field.
Enter a description of the sample reason in the Short Description field.
Select options for the sample reason code.
Click the OK button in the ribbon. The sample reason code is created.

Enter the number of days a customer must wait after receiving a sample of a product (for an order line item that uses the sample reason) before the customer can receive a sample of the same product again. This is 0 by default. If this is 0, there is no limit to how often the customer can receive a sample of the product for order line items that use the sample reason. This overrides the sample frequency days entered for products in Product Maintenance. This field is only enabled if the Require Customer Linkage check box is selected. |

Select this check box if the customer that is receiving the sample must be entered for order line items that use the sample reason. This check box is selected by default. |

Select this check box to allow the supplier billback percentage to be changed for order line items that use the sample reason. This check box is selected by default. |

Select this check box if the sample reason is the default for imported sample orders. This check box can only be selected for one sample reason. |
