Purpose

Define new account access methods and update existing methods.

Overview

Use Account Access Method Maintenance to define account access methods, which can be used in Account Access Method Inquiry, Detail General Ledger Access Method Report, and Trial Balance Access Method Report to display account information based on selected account elements. The access method must consist of at least one account element.

Example You set up an account access method that only uses a cost center element. If this method is selected in Account Access Method Inquiry, only the cost center element can be used for the inquiry.
