Alert Viewer

To use Alert Viewer, click an alert in the Main Menu window.

Purpose

View and update alerts.

Overview

Use Alert Viewer to view details of an alert, and to update the status of the alert or follow-up color of an alert. You can also suppress an alert so that it is not displayed in the Main Menu window for a specific period of time. For information on setting up alerts, see Alert Wizard.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button

Description

Exit

Click this button to close the Alert Viewer window.

Edit

Click this button to edit the displayed alert.

OK

Click this button to save changes to an alert. This button is only available after you click the Edit button in the ribbon.

Cancel

Click this button to cancel editing of an alert without saving any changes. This button is only available after you click the Edit button in the ribbon.

Pick Confirm Inquiry

Click this button to display Pick Confirm Inquiry, which allows you to view detailed pick demand information. This button is only available for pick demand alerts.

Manage Forecast Hold

Click this button to display Forecast Hold Management, which allows you to release sales orders from forecast hold. This button is only available for forecast hold alerts.

Order / Order Inquiry

Click this button to display Order Edit, which allows you to view and update information for the sales order that triggered the alert.

Note If you are not authorized to use Order Edit, the Order Entry window appears instead, and allows you to view and update information for the order. If you are not authorized to use Order Edit or Order Entry, Order Inquiry appears instead, and allows you to view information for the order.

This button is only available for order alerts.

Purchase Order Authorize

Click this button to display Purchase Order Authorize, which allows you to approve or reject purchase orders. This button is only available for purchase order authorization alerts.

PO Inquiry

Click this button to display Purchase Order Maintenance, which allows you to view and update information for the purchase order that triggered the alert.

Note If you are not authorized to use Purchase Order Maintenance, Purchase Order Inquiry appears instead, and allows you to view information for the purchase order.

This button is only available for purchase order alerts.

Customer Inquiry

Click this button to display Customer Maintenance, which allows you to view and update information for the customer that triggered the alert.

Note If you are not authorized to use Customer Maintenance, Customer Inquiry appears instead, and allows you to view information for the customer.

This button is only available for customer alerts.

Product Inquiry

Click this button to display Product Maintenance, which allows you to view and update information for the product that triggered the alert.

Note If you are not authorized to use Product Maintenance, Product Inquiry appears instead, and allows you to view information for the product.

This button is only available for product alerts.

Product Location Inquiry

Click this button to display Product Location Maintenance, which allows you to view and update information for the product/location that triggered the alert.

Note If you are not authorized to use Product Location Maintenance, Product Location Inquiry appears instead, and allows you to view information for the product.

This button is only available for product alerts.

Style Inquiry

Click this button to display Style Maintenance, which allows you to view and update information for the style that triggered the alert.

Note If you are not authorized to use Style Maintenance, Style Inquiry appears instead, and allows you to view information for the product.

This button is only available for product style alerts.

Account Detail Inquiry

Click this button to display Account Detail Inquiry, which allows you to view detailed account activity for the general ledger account that triggered the alert.

This button is only available for GL Account Balance type alerts.

Work Order

Click this button to display Work Order Maintenance, which allows you to view and update information for the work order that triggered the alert.

This button is only available for manufacturing alerts.

EDI Task

Click this button to display EDI Task Management, which allows you to view received EDI transactions that triggered the alert.

This button is only available for EDI alerts.

Supplier Inquiry

Click this button to display Supplier Maintenance, which allows you to view and update information for the supplier that triggered the alert.

Note If you are not authorized to use Supplier Maintenance, Supplier Inquiry appears instead, and allows you to view information for the supplier.

This button is only available for supplier alerts.

Cost Matrix

Click this button to display Purchase Cost Matrix Maintenance, which allows you to view and update information for the purchase cost matrix that triggered the alert.

Note If you are not authorized to use Purchase Cost Matrix Maintenance, Purchase Cost Matrix Inquiry appears instead, and allows you to view information for the purchase cost matrix.

This button is only available for purchase cost matrix alerts.

Vouchers on Hold

Click this button to display Voucher On Hold Update, which allows you to change the on-hold status of vouchers. This button is only available for on-hold voucher alerts.

Bill of Lading

Click this button to display Bill of Lading Inquiry, which allows you to view bill of lading information. This button is only available for bill of lading alerts.

Container Management

Click this button to display Container Management, which allows you to manage containers. This button is only available for container alerts.

Invoice Inquiry

Click this button to display Invoice Inquiry, which allows you to view customer invoice, credit memo, and debit memo information. This button is only available for credit memo alerts.

Task Management

Click this button to display Chargeback Task Management, which allows you to review the chargeback task that triggered the alert. This button is only available for chargeback alerts.

Warehouse Task History

Click this button to display Warehouse Task History Inquiry, which allows you to View Wireless Warehouse task history for users and products. This button is only available for Wireless Warehouse alerts.

Warehouse Task

Click this button to display Warehouse Task Management, which allows you to manage Wireless Warehouse tasks. This button is only available for Wireless Warehouse alerts.

Credit Hold

Click this button to display Credit Hold Inquiry, which allows you to view why orders are on credit hold. This button is only available for credit hold alerts.

Inventory Matrix

Click this button to display Inventory Matrix Inquiry, which allows you to view product inventory, transactions, and transaction history. This button is only available for inventory alerts.

Receiving Entry

Click this button to display Receiving Entry, which allows you to view receipts that triggered the alert. This button is only available for inventory alerts.

Main Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button

Description

Alert Type

This field displays the alert type (such as Order or Terms).

Alert Text

This field displays the detailed information of the alert.

Alert Trigger

This field summarizes the trigger for the alert.

Alert Status

Click the Lookup button to select the status of the alert. You can select one of the following:

  • New - The alert appears in a bold font to indicate it has not yet been read.

  • Read - The alert appears in a normal font to indicate that it has been read.

Follow Up

Click the Lookup button to select a color to represent the follow-up status of the alert.

Suppress Alert

Select this check box to hide the alert from the Main Menu window until a specific date entered in the Suppress Until field.

Suppress Until

Enter a date until which you want to suppress the alert, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date. This field is only enabled if you select the Suppress Alert check box.
