Purpose

Define Business Intelligence exports.

Overview

Use Business Intelligence Maintenance to set up the output path and file names associated with Business Intelligence data exports. For more information, see Business Intelligence Overview.

Setting Up a Business Intelligence Export

To set up a Business Intelligence export:

  1. Click the New button in the ribbon.

  2. Enter a name to identify the export in the Export Name field.

  3. Enter the program name for the export in the Export Program field.

  4. Click the Lookup button for the Export Directory field, then navigate to and select the folder to which to export the Business Intelligence data.

  5. Enter a brief description of the export in the Description field.

  6. Select the Requires Date Range check box if the data you want to export is for a specific date range, such as invoices, purchase orders, or vouchers.

  7. Click the OK button in the ribbon. The export is created.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Exit

Click this button to close the Business Intelligence Maintenance window.

New

Click this button to create a new Business Intelligence export. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.

Update

Click this button to update the selected Business Intelligence export. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.

Delete

Click this button to delete the selected Business Intelligence export. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.

OK

Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available if you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.

Cancel

Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available if you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.

Show Data

Click this button to display information for Business Intelligence exports on the Inquiry tab based on the selected criteria. This button is only available if the Inquiry tab is displayed.

First

Click this button to display the first Business Intelligence export. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.

Prev

Click this button to display the previous Business Intelligence export. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.

Next

Click this button to display the next Business Intelligence export. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.

Last

Click this button to display the last Business Intelligence export. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.

Fields and Buttons

Export Name

Enter a Business Intelligence export name, or click the Lookup button to select an existing export name. This name appears when selecting an export in Business Intelligence Export.

Main Tab Fields and Buttons

Export Program

Enter the program name of the program that exports Business Intelligence data. For a list of valid program names, see Business Intelligence Overview.

Export Directory

Click the Lookup button, then navigate to and select the folder into which to export data. This should be the same folder for all exports.

Description

Enter a description of the export.

Requires Date Range

Select this check box to require a date range when exporting data in Business Intelligence Export.

Inquiry Tab Fields and Buttons

Note This tab is disabled if you are creating, editing, or deleting a Business Intelligence export.

All

Select this check box to display information for all Business Intelligence exports. This check box is selected by default.

Export Name

Enter a Business Intelligence export for which to display information, or click the Lookup button to select a Business Intelligence export. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.

Business Intelligence Exports

This grid displays information about when each Business Intelligence export was last run after you click the Show Data button in the ribbon. Double-click an export to display information for it on the Main tab.
