Purpose

Associate sales representatives with groupings of product lines for sales and commission purposes.

Overview

Use Sales Representative Product Line Group Maintenance to associate a product line group to a sales representative. Use this functionality if you are a distributor that services customers with multiple sales representatives, and each sales representative carries certain product lines for certain customers for which they receive sales and commission credit. Note A product line group can only be associated with one sales representative within an effective date range.

Example If sales representative A is associated with product line group XYZ from 1/1/2020 to 12/31/2020, then sales representative B cannot be associated with that product line group in that date range.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Sales Representative Product Line Group Maintenance window.
New	Click this button to create a new association between a sales representative and product line groups for a date range.
Update	Click this button to edit the product line groups or date range for the selected sales representative.
Delete	Click this button to delete the association of product line groups for a date range for the selected sales representative.
OK	Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
Cancel	Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.
Show Data	Click this button to display data in the Sales Representative Product Line Groups grid.
First	Click this button to display the first associated product line groups for the selected sales representative.
Prev	Click this button to display the previous associated product line groups for the selected sales representative.
Next	Click this button to display the next associated product line groups for the selected sales representative.
Last	Click this button to display the last associated product line groups for the selected sales representative.

Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Sales Representative ID	Enter a sales representative ID for which you want to view, update, or delete associated product line groups, or click the Lookup button to select a sales representative ID.
Name	This field displays the name of the sales representative for the ID entered in the Sales Representative ID field.

Main Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Date Range	Click this button to select a date range for which to view or update product line groups associated with the selected sales representative.
Start Date	Enter the start date for the association, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date.
End Date	Enter the end date for the association, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date.
Available Product Line Groups	This grid displays product line groups that you can associate with the selected sales representative. Double-click a product line group you want to associate, or click the product line group, and then click the right arrow button.
	Click this button to associate the selected product line group in the Available Product Line Groups grid with the selected sales representative.
	Click this button to associate all product line groups in the Available Product Line Groups grid with the selected sales representative.
	Click this button to remove the selected product line group from the Associated Product Line Groups grid.
	Click this button to remove all product line groups from the Associated Product Line Groups grid.
Associated Product Line Groups	This grid displays the product line groups associated with the selected sales representative. Double-click a product line group you want to remove from the grid, or click the product line group, and then click the left arrow button.
All (Sales Representatives)	Select this check box to display product line groups for all sales representatives in the Sales Representative Product Line Groups grid. This check box is selected by default.
Sales Representative ID	Enter a sales representative ID for which to display product line groups in the Sales Representative Product Line Groups grid, or click the Lookup button to select a sales representative ID. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.
Name (Sales Representative)	This field displays the name of the sales representative for the ID entered in the Sales Representative ID field.
All (Effective Dates)	Select this check box to display product line groups for all effective dates in the Sales Representative Product Line Groups grid. This check box is selected by default.
Effective Date	Enter a start date for which to display product line groups in the Sales Representative Product Line Groups grid, or click the drop-down arrow to select a date. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.
All (Product Line Groups)	Select this check box to display all product line groups in the Sales Representative Product Line Groups grid. This check box is selected by default.
Product Line Group ID	Enter a product line group ID to display in the Sales Representative Product Line Groups grid, or click the Lookup button to select a product line group ID. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.
Name (Product Line Group)	Enter a product line group name to display in the Sales Representative Product Line Groups grid, or click the Lookup button to select a product line group name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All check box.
Sort Option	Select whether to sort data in the Sales Representative Product Line Groups grid by sales representative ID, product line group ID, or start date.
Sales Representative Product Line Groups	This grid displays sales representative product line groups based on the selected criteria.
