Purpose

View general ledger amounts for scorecard profit categories.

Overview

Use Scorecard General Ledger Amount Inquiry to display balances and profitability amounts for general ledger accounts associated with scorecard profit categories/subcategories. General ledger accounts are associated with scorecard profit categories in Account Maintenance or Scorecard Control Maintenance.

Using the Inquiry

To use Scorecard General Ledger Amount Inquiry:

Select a profit type for which to display data.
Select a period and year for which to display data.
If you want to only display accounts associated with a specific scorecard profit category, clear the All Profit Categories check box, and enter the scorecard profit category code or name.
If you entered a specific scorecard profit category code or name in step 3, and you want to only display accounts associated with a specific scorecard profit subcategory, clear the All Profit Subcategories check box, and enter the scorecard profit subcategory code or name.
Click the Show Data button in the ribbon. The Results tab displays account data based on the criteria you selected in steps 1-4. You can double-click monetary amounts to view the underlying detail data.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Scorecard General Ledger Amount Inquiry window.
Show Data	Click this button to display data on the Results tab based on criteria selected on the Select tab.

Select Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
Profit Type	Select whether to display data for customers, products, or suppliers.
Time Frame	The Period radio button is selected to indicate data will be displayed for a specific period.
Period	Click the Lookup button and select the period for which to display data.
Year	Click the Lookup button and select the year for which to display data.
All Profit Categories	Select this check box to display data for all scorecard profit categories. This check box is selected by default.
Profit Category Code	Enter a scorecard profit category code for which to display data, or click the Lookup button to select a scorecard profit category code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Profit Categories check box.
Name (Profit Category)	Enter a scorecard profit category name for which to display data, or click the Lookup button to select a scorecard profit category name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Profit Categories check box.
All Profit Subcategories	Select this check box to display data for all scorecard profit subcategories. This check box is selected by default, and only enabled if you clear the All Profit Categories check box.
Profit Subcategory	Enter a scorecard profit subcategory code for which to display data, or click the Lookup button to select a scorecard profit subcategory code. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Profit Subcategories check box.
Name (Profit Subcategory)	Enter a scorecard profit subcategory name for which to display data, or click the Lookup button to select a scorecard profit subcategory name. This field is only enabled if you clear the All Profit Subcategories check box.

Results

This grid displays general ledger and profitability amounts for general ledger accounts associated with profit categories. You can enter period-specific notes for each account.

Double-click an amount in the GL Amount column to display Scorecard Category GL Account List, which allows you to list general ledger amounts for a specific scorecard profit category/subcategory.

Double-click an amount in the Profitability Amount column to display Scorecard Detail Inquiry, which allows you to view scorecard profit group information.

Double-click an amount in the Manual GL Difference column to display Scorecard Manual GL Account List, which allows you to list general ledger journal entries for a specific scorecard profit category/subcategory.

Double-click an amount in the Other Profitability Amount column to display Scorecard Other Profitability Detail Inquiry, which allows you to view other profitability data for scorecard profit groups.
