To use A/R Amount Lookup, click the Amount button in the ribbon in Deposit Entry or the Amount Lookup button in the ribbon in Payment Apply.

Purpose

Lookup customers by invoice amount.

Overview

Use Invoice Amount Lookup to find a customer based on the amount of an accounts receivable transaction. This is useful if it is difficult to determine who the customer is on a payment (for example, the name on the check is a dba name), and there is no payment stub identifying reference numbers and corresponding amounts. If the payment is intended to pay for a single invoice, you can enter the amount, and determine the customer that is making the payment.

OK

Click this button to close the A/R Amount Lookup window, and enter the customer for the selected invoice, credit memo, or debit memo in Deposit Entry.

Cancel

Click this button to close the A/R Amount Lookup window.

Show Data

Click this button to display accounts receivable transactions of the amount entered in the Lookup Amount field.

Lookup Amount

Enter an amount for which you want to view transactions.

Transactions

This grid displays accounts receivable transactions for the amount entered in the Lookup Amount field after you click the Show Data button in the ribbon. This grid includes the following columns:

  • Orig Amt - This column displays the original amount of the accounts receivable transaction.

  • Open Amt - This column displays the current open amount of the accounts receivable transaction.

  • Ref# - This column displays the number of the accounts receivable transaction.

  • Customer Name - This column displays the customer name for the accounts receivable transaction.

  • Customer Code - This column displays the customer code for the accounts receivable transaction.
