Set up and maintain CRM tasks types.
Use CRM Task Definition to create, edit, and delete CRM tasks types, which are templates of tasks used in campaigns to track specific activities, such as mailing a catalog, emailing a customer, etc. You can set up each task with one or more follow up tasks, which must be performed after the task is completed.
To create a CRM task type:
Click the New button in the ribbon.
Enter a name for the task in the Task Name field.
Click the Lookup button for the Communication Type field, and select the method used to complete the task.
Click the Lookup button for the Assign Task To field, and select the type of user to which to automatically assign the task.
If you do not want the task to be repeated for each customer contact, select the One Task Per Company check box.
If another task should be created after the task is completed, enter the task in the Follow Up Task Name field.
In the Follow Up Days field, enter the number of days after the task is completed that is used to calculate the date for the follow up task entered in step 6 .
Click the Add button to add the follow up task you entered in steps 6 and 7.
Repeat steps 6-8 for all follow up tasks.
Click the OK ribbon button. The task is created.

Select this check box to only create one task per customer/prospect. Example A task is created for visiting a customer. You select this check box to indicate the task is performed once for the customer, not multiple times for each customer contact. If this check box is cleared, the task must be performed for each customer contact. |

Enter a CRM task that must be performed after the task you are creating/editing is completed, or click the Lookup button to select a CRM task. |

Enter the number of days after the task is completed that is used to calculate the date for the follow up task. Example If a task will occur 10 days after a task is completed, enter 10. |

Note This tab is disabled if you are creating, editing, or deleting a CRM task.
