Purpose

Define valid status codes for chargeback tracking and analysis.

Overview

Use Chargeback Status Maintenance to define valid status codes for entry, redistribution, and analysis of chargebacks. Every chargeback must be assigned a valid status code.

The following table lists examples of chargeback status codes.

Status Code

Description

Research

The chargeback is currently being researched.

POD

The customer claims that shipment was not received; requires proof of delivery.

Due

The customer agrees that the chargeback should not have been taken, and that it will be paid.

Adding Chargeback Status Codes

To add a chargeback status code:

  1. Click the New button in the ribbon.

  2. Enter a chargeback status ID in the Chargeback Status field.

  3. Enter a description of the chargeback status in the Description field.

  4. If the chargeback status will be used for a status that does not require customer follow-up, select the Resolved check box.

  5. Click the OK button in the ribbon. The chargeback status code is created.

Updating Chargeback Status Codes

To update a chargeback status code:

  1. Display the chargeback status code you want to update.

  2. Click the Update button in the ribbon.

  3. Update the chargeback status code information as necessary.

  4. Click the OK button in the ribbon. The chargeback status code is updated.

Deleting Chargeback Status Codes

To delete a chargeback status code:

  1. Display the chargeback status code you want to delete.

  2. Click the Delete button in the ribbon.

  3. Click the OK button in the ribbon. The chargeback status code is deleted.

Note You cannot delete a status code if it was already assigned to a chargeback division, chargeback group, or chargeback.

Click this button to close the Chargeback Status Maintenance window.

New

Click this button to create a new chargeback status. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.

Update

Click this button to update the selected chargeback status. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.

Delete

Click this button to delete the selected chargeback status. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.

Show Data

Click this button to display chargeback status information. This button is only available if you click the Inquiry tab.

OK

Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available if you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.

Cancel

Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available if you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.

First

Click this button to display the first chargeback status. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.

Prev

Click this button to display the previous chargeback status. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.

Next

Click this button to display the next chargeback status. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.

Last

Click this button to display the last chargeback status. This button is only available if the Main tab is displayed.

Enter the short name or code describing the chargeback status, or click the Lookup button to select an existing chargeback status code.

Description

Enter a detailed description of the status for a customer's chargeback.

Resolved

Select this check box if the status is considered resolved (i.e., does not require any further follow-up with the customer). This is used in Chargeback Task Management as a selection filter. For more information, see Resolved Chargeback.

Collectible

Select this check box if the status is considered collectible. This check box is only enabled if you select the Resolved check box.

Note This tab is disabled if you are editing a chargeback status.

This grid displays chargeback status codes after you click the Show Data button in the ribbon. Double-click a chargeback status code to select it and display information for it on the Main tab.
