Purpose

Define valid collection agencies.

Overview

Use Collection Agency Maintenance to define valid collection agencies. Typically, a customer is turned over to a collection agency when a company has exhausted their in-house efforts to collect past due accounts.

In Customer Collection Rule Maintenance, when a customer is assigned (turned over) to a collection agency, this creates a collection agency collection task in Collection Task Management if there are any past due transactions. Collection Management Aging Analysis also allows the selection of a collection agency.

Adding a Collection Agency

To add a new collection agency:

  1. Click the New button in the ribbon.

  2. Enter the collection agency name in the Collection Agency field.

  3. Enter a description of the collection agency in the Description field.

  4. Click the OK button in the ribbon. The collection agency is created.

Updating a Collection Agency

To update a collection agency:

  1. Enter the collection agency name in the Collection Agency field.

  2. Click the Update button in the ribbon.

  3. Edit the description of the collection agency.

  4. Click the OK button in the ribbon. The collection agency is updated.

Deleting a Collection Agency

To delete a collection agency:

  1. Enter the collection agency name in the Collection Agency field.

  2. Click the Delete button in the ribbon.

  3. Click the OK button in the ribbon. The collection agency is deleted.

Note You cannot delete a collection agency if it has already been assigned to a customer.

Update

Click this button to update the selected collection agency.

Delete

Click this button to delete the selected collection agency.

OK

Click this button to accept an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.

Cancel

Click this button to cancel an action. This button is only available after you click the New, Update, or Delete button in the ribbon.

First

Click this button to display the first collection agency.

Prev

Click this button to display the previous collection agency.

Next

Click this button to display the next collection agency.

Last

Click this button to display the last collection agency.
