To use Copy Security from User Or Group, click the Copy Security button in the ribbon in User or Group Security Maintenance.

Purpose

Copy security from one user or group to another user or user group.

Overview

Use Copy Security from User Or Group to select a user or user group from which you want to copy security to another user or user group.

Note You must select the user or user group to which you are copying security settings in User or Group Security Maintenance before using this window.

Copying Security from Users or Groups

To copy security from a user or group:

1. Select whether you want to copy security from a user or user group.

2. Enter the user or user group from which you want to copy security in the User ID or User Group field.

Example You want to copy security settings from User A to User B. Enter User A in the User ID field.

3. Click the OK button in the ribbon.

Ribbon Home Tab Buttons

Button	Description
Exit	Click this button to close the Copy Security from User Or Group window.
OK	Click this button to copy security from the selected user or user group, and close the Copy Security from User Or Group window.

General Tab Fields and Buttons

Field or Button	Description
User or Group Option	Select whether you want to copy security from a specific user or user group.
User ID/User Group	Enter the user ID or user group from which you want to copy security, or click the Lookup button to select the user ID or user group.
