Buy alerts are created when actual planned receipts are within the lead time (plus any lead time buffer specified for the buy alert method). Buy alerts are typically created daily.

The system creates buy alerts when you create actual planned receipts in Forecast Create or Actual Planned Receipt Create. You can view buy alerts in Buyer Task Management.
