A ledger is a record of financial transactions in your company. In Apprise, the following two types of ledgers are available:
Functional - Financial transactions for a specific company in the local or functional currency.
Consolidation - Financial transactions translated from functional ledgers (or other consolidation ledgers) into different accounts and/or currencies for reporting. In a relationship between two ledgers, the consolidation ledger is the destination ledger, and the other ledger is the source ledger. For information on creating consolidation ledgers, see Creating Consolidation Ledgers.
You can have multiple consolidated ledgers associated with one or more functional ledgers.
For information on setting up ledgers see, Ledger Maintenance.
For information on changing your default ledger, see Ledger ID Update.
